What is happening in the condominium market in Bangkok?

Analysts report that 2022 was the year of the return of the condominium market: a sharp increase in supply in the first quarter of the year. Entrepreneurs are launching more new projects, amid a slowdown last year.

In the first quarter of 2022, 16,247 new properties were put up for sale on the condominium market in Bangkok. The number of units sold increased by 44.4% compared to the previous quarter (when the indicator was 11,252 properties).

Most of the properties are presented in the suburbs, while there were no new projects in the business center of the city.

45% of comfort class apartments, 43% of economy class apartments and 12% of premium class apartments are on the market.

Developers are focused both on buyers who will live in apartments themselves, and on investors, since the demand of both groups remains at a high level.

This year, entrepreneurs are developing projects with apartments of large areas, as well as the number of houses where you can keep pets is increasing.

It is expected that about 50,000 more apartments will be released this year, which will lead to a full recovery of the condominium market.
