The process and ownership documents will be unified throughout Thailand

The Department of Lands has established a policy according to which the project of issuing documents on the ownership of land must meet the same standard for the whole country. To ensure that all people have the opportunity to access public services.

From 1985 to the present, the municipal authorities have conducted a survey and issued documents for the ownership of land. In 2022, ownership of 43,500 plots of land was expected to be granted in 70 provinces, 45,443 plots were achieved, which is 104.46%.

For 2023, a draft pedestrian survey of land plots and a survey of land ownership documents has been adopted to ensure a single standard covering the entire country. The verification of documents will be carried out on a total area of 66 provinces (Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathumthani, Mae Hong Son, Samut Prakan, Samutsakhon, Samutsongkhram and Phuket).

There will also be a project for the inspection and issuance of ownership documents to strengthen security in the southern border provinces: Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat and Chana, Tefa, Natavi, Sabayoi, Songkhla.
