The luxury real estate market was not affected by COVID-19

In the first quarter of 2022, 58 projects (a total of 2,593 apartments and houses) of the luxury segment with a cost of more than 20 million baht were put up for sale. The level of sales in this segment was 62%. Which showed developers the interest of customers in luxury housing. Now the construction of large townhouses in the center of Bangkok, such areas as Sukhumvit, Ari, Rama 3 or Satupradit, is beginning.

If we talk more about luxury housing, 72% of new real estate worth more than 60 million baht has already been purchased. And real estate with a price from 20 million baht to 40 million baht was bought by 69%.

This is a very high level of sales for the luxury real estate segment. The main buyer of such housing is people whose business has not been affected by COVID-19 and they buy expensive houses without taking a loan from banks. Luxury homes are in demand in different provinces of Thailand, not only in Bangkok.

It can be assumed that at least 2,000 more luxury apartments and houses will enter the market this year. Many top developers are buying up land in expensive areas of Bangkok, in the center of the capital.

The emphasis is still on low-rise housing. So, it is planned to start the construction of the cottage village «Lake Legend Bangna-Suvarnabhumi», with a total cost of more than 6 billion baht. An artificial lake will be created for this village. The houses will have 5 bedrooms, 8 parking spaces, a private swimming pool.

This year, the low-rise project «VIVE Rama 9» will be commissioned, with a total cost of more than 2 billion baht. Houses with a cost of 28 million baht.

Many other luxury projects will also be presented.
