In 2022, the Ministry plans to invest in the development of the transport network in all 4 directions to make it complete, increase economic value, reduce logistics costs, and revive the economy after quarantine.
The transport network will provide ฿1.4 trillion to the country's budget to accelerate construction to stimulate the economy after the coronacrisis. Over 1.54 thousand jobs will be created, prompting a 2.35% increase in GDP and the policy of Chumphon-Ranong land bridge.
Saksayam Chidchob, Minister of Transport, delivered a speech at the seminar "Smart and Sustainable Mobility of the Future in Thailand, Moving Thailand towards a Sustainable Future", stating that in 2022 the Ministry plans to invest in 4 aspects of the transport network to make it complete, increase economic value, reduce logistics costs, and revive the economy after quarantine.
Its investment budget is ฿1.4 trillion, including projects with contracts of ฿516 billion and new investment projects worth ฿974,000 million.
