The State Housing Bank announced an increase in interest rates on all types of loans by 0.25% per annum. Mortgage interest will increase from 1.25% per year to 1.50% per year. The interest rate increases for the first time in 2 years and 9 months from May 25, 2020.
The Monetary Policy Committee, at its meeting on January 25, 2023, unanimously decided to raise the discount rate to match the trend of economic recovery and inflation with immediate effect.
