Thailand revises entry regulations for tourists

The Thai government has made it easier for foreign tourists to visit the country through Test&Go programs. The decision was approved on December 16.

For tourists under the Sandbox program, the period of residence in the province was reduced from 7 to 5 days. These exemptions will come into force on December 24.

Foreigners who have had coronavirus 3 months before the trip will visit Thailand. They need to provide a certificate of the disease they suffered from, or of the first vaccination with an approved drug (including «Sputnik V»).

After arriving in the Kingdom, foreign citizens must take a PCR test and wait for the test result at the SHA+ hotel.

Children under the age of 6 do not need to take a PCR test 72 hours before arrival. Upon arrival, they will take a saliva test. However, this exemption does not apply to children under 11. They will have to take a PCR test.

Conditions that are still relevant:

  • Insurance for $50,000 or more;
  • Tourists over the age of 18 must be vaccinated with a vaccine approved in the Kingdom;

A negative PCR test.
