REIC of Thailand provides information on the secondary housing market in the third quarter of 2021

The Real Estate Information Center presented the results of the secondary housing study in the third quarter of 2021. According to the report, 129,732 housing units were sold for ฿862.455 million ($255.2 million) in the third quarter. The number and prices of housing have increased compared to the second quarter of 2021. Detached houses and villas are the bestselling. Condominiums, townhouses, and commercial buildings ranked second.

The percentage distribution of property sales was as follows:

  • Detached houses – 38% of total sales, or 49,086 units;
  • Condominiums – 32% of total sales, or 42,109 housing units;
  • Townhouses – 25.4% or 32,613 units;
  • Commercial premises – 3% or 3,755 units;
  • Duplexes – 1.7% or 2,169 housing units.

As for the cost of secondary housing for sale in the third quarter of 2021, detached houses ranked first with ฿442,484 million ($13.13 million) per month, condominiums – ฿296,172 million ($8.7 million), townhouses – ฿96,745 million ($2.8 million), commercial real estate and duplexes – ฿20,153 million ($598 thousand) and ฿6,902 million ($204 thousand), respectively.
