Real estate recovers: the condominium market becomes positive

Entrepreneurs operating in Thailand hope that the economy will recover in 2022. However, Omicron will correct this situation. To protect you and your money, analysts urge new entrepreneurs to be careful in choosing a project for investment and focus on launched ones and postpone sponsoring new ones, as there are risk factors.

As for the condominium market, not many new projects have been launched in 2 years (2019-2020). Consequently, the number of new housing units for sale is decreasing and corresponds to market conditions. Developers and owners are trying to earn as much money as possible to speed up the sale of housing in apartment buildings.

The Director of Research and Communications at Colliers Thailand predicted a review and trends in the condominium market in Bangkok in 2021, according to which the new sales offer is declining for the third consecutive year. Most developers had to postpone new projects last year and focus on low-rise construction (detached houses, townhouses, etc.) in Bangkok and strategic provinces with high purchasing power.
