The Thai Island of Koh Phangan attracted more than 10,000 tourists to Haad Rin Beach for a Full Moon Party, which has not been held in full since COVID-19 pandemic began 2 years ago. Previously, parties were held on the night before and after each full moon.
This year the party coincided with Songkran and Catholic Easter, which made it even more popular.
According to the ferry operators, the ferries going to the island were fully booked, and most of the participants were foreigners. Due to the party on the way to the beach, shops selling food and drinks, as well as stalls with clothes and beach accessories, started working again. The island came to life. It is planned to hold 8 more Full Moon Party parties by the end of the year.
Tickets for the party can be purchased at the entrance for 100 baht each. Visitors can check the confirmation of vaccination. They pass or take COVID-test if the person is not vaccinated.
