The Energy Regulatory Commission of Thailand (ERC) indicates that after the figure of automatic variable electricity for January-April 2023 was adjusted in accordance with the decision of the National Council for Energy Policy of November 25, on December 14, the results of the calculation of electricity tariffs according to the methodological guidelines were summed up. As a result, the new electricity bill was divided into 2 groups:
- Household electricity consumers (using no more than 500 units of electricity per month) the tariff will be charged at the same rate of 93.43 satang per unit or calculated as the average cost of electricity, including the basic cost of electricity at 4.72 baht per unit.
- Other types of electricity consumers, such as small enterprises, medium-sized businesses, large enterprises, hotels, industrial enterprises, institutions, office buildings - the tariff will be 190.44 satang per unit, combined with the base cost of electricity will be 5.69 baht per unit (an increase of 20.5%).
