The State Housing Bank conducted an analysis of real estate and stated that the number of commissioned objects decreased by 37%. In particular, sales of new condominiums fell to 42.5%.
In 2021, about 53,693 new properties appeared on the market in Bangkok and its surroundings, with about 171,283 units put up for sale.
In 2022, the housing situation is expected to improve, as a result, at least 80,117 new residential units will appear on the market, and the number of unsold remaining units is expected to decrease. At the moment, there are about 161,120 new buildings left unsold, or 5.9% less than in 2021.
As for real estate trends in 2022, it is expected that new homes will be put up for sale in the Bangkok market. and surrounding areas of approximately 86,117 properties with a total value of approximately 374,368 million baht, including approximately 37,792 private houses with a total value of approximately THB 202,726,000; condominium projects of approximately 42,325 apartments with a total value of approximately THB 171,642,000.
