Electricity bills will be increased by 40 satangs per unit

How much will a unit of electricity cost in 2022? This is a question that interests lots of people. In the current situation, oil and gas prices continue to rise.

Komkrit Tantravanich, Secretary General of the Energy Regulatory Commission, said that if nothing changes, it is expected that the new electricity bill will increase by about 40 satangs per unit at the end of the year.

However, it should be noted that the recalculation of the cost of electricity for the electricity bill in the period from September to December 2022 has not yet been carried out, since it is necessary to wait for the calculation cycle to close before starting the recalculation. The exact data will be announced in mid-July 2022.

Initially, higher fuel costs led to the fact that the forecast of the price of a unit of electricity for the period from May to August 2022 increased to 129.91 satang per unit, but according to the principle of adjustment, the cost was reduced to 47.3 satang per unit. Therefore, an increase of about 40 satangs per unit is expected.
