Cost of real estate increased by 5% in Bangkok

The experts prepared a report on the real estate market research for the first quarter of 2022. According to the report, 23,203 new properties were introduced to the market in and around Bangkok. This is 140% more than in the first quarter of 2021. It is 15% more in terms of the total value of 80,574 million baht than over the same period last year.

New buildings include 19 condominium projects (15,236 apartments), which is 211% more compared to the first quarter of 2021. New apartments make up 66% of the number of new housing units introduced.

The most popular properties are townhouses and apartments, with a price range of 2-5 million baht.

The study confirmed that housing prices increased by 5% on average as a result of land values, construction materials, and energy costs in the first quarter of the year. Building supplies and electricity have gone up as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. It has a direct impact on the prime cost of construction, causing the rise in housing and construction prices.
