Among the owners of foreign property owners in Thailand, the majority are Chinese. They are followed by citizens of Europe, the United States, Great Britain and France.
In 2022, it was established that the Chinese are the leaders in buying condominiums in property throughout Thailand. In total, Chinese citizens received 5,707 units of this type of real estate, which accounted for the highest share - 49.4%. The second largest number of buyers of property in Thailand were residents of Europe. The share of Europeans is 7%. Europeans are followed by representatives of the United States, who purchased 542 units of real estate in Thailand - 4.7%. Representatives of the UK have an indicator of 393 units, which is 3.4%. France is in 5th place with 3%.
It is noteworthy that from 2018 to 2021, the top five foreigners who bought property in Thailand included China, Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States and Germany. It is also worth adding that in 2022, the cost of purchases in the real estate sector among citizens of Europe, Europe and the United States increased, which had a favorable effect on the Thai market.
