The change in the rules for using Thai Pass comes into force on April 18, 2022. According to the announcement on the official website, foreigners are now allowed to arrive in the country on a day other than the date originally approved in their Thai Pass application, provided that it is no more than 7 days before/after the original date.
Currently, everyone, including Thais, must register for a Thai Pass to enter the country. Regardless of whether they arrive under Test & Go, Sandbox or Alternative Quarantine programs.
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports stated that it is possible that from May 1, tourists will be able to enter Thailand only with vaccination passports.
In the proposed plan, it is expected that PCR tests on arrival for foreign travelers will be replaced by antigen tests at the airport.
We can see how the rules of entry into Thailand are beginning to weaken. Which may mean the speedy cancellation of all measures and the full opening of the country. This will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the Thai economy.
